About Me
Mission Statement: To write entertaining fiction that shines light on troubling social issues through strong characters and a compelling story.
About Me: I was born and raised in Oregon in a small town in the Willamette Valley. I received my master’s degree from the University of Oregon in counseling/psychology and my school counselor certification from Lewis and Clark College. I worked as a Mental Health Counselor/School Counselor for 39 years while raising two sons in the Portland area. Since I first learned to read, I’ve had a love affair with the written word. My favorite school assignment was using the weekly assigned spelling words to create stories. At one time, I promised my mother I would write a book but that was put on the back burner while I raised my sons and continued my career. Upon retirement, I was finally able to devote myself to writing my first book. I continue to live happily in the Willamette Valley and enjoy writing, traveling with my partner, gardening, socializing, hiking in nature, as well as many other interests. My adult sons continue to be my pride and joy!
